Frequently Asked Support Questions

My employer is refusing to pay my gratuity. What should I do?

First, calculate your exact entitlement using our gratuity calculator. Document your employment start date, basic salary, and reason for leaving. Send a written demand to your employer's HR department. If they do not respond within 7 days, file a formal complaint at Kuwait PAM (pam.gov.kw). PAM will summon your employer for mediation at no cost to you.

The calculator result doesn't match what my employer said. Why?

Common reasons include: (1) Your employer is calculating on total salary rather than basic salary alone — Kuwait law uses only basic salary; (2) They are applying different service period calculations; (3) They may not be applying Article 70 unused leave correctly. Our calculator uses the exact legal formula. You can use your PDF report as a reference document when negotiating with HR.

Can I use the PDF report in a legal dispute?

Our PDF report is an educational estimate tool based on Kuwait Labour Law. It can be used as a reference during informal negotiations. However, it is not a legal document and would not be accepted as evidence in a formal court proceeding. For formal disputes, you need official documentation from PAM or a certified labour lawyer.
